Becoming a good comedian is a long and grueling process. Open mics can be some of the saddest places on earth, but are incredibly necessary. Sometimes I hear people complain about performing for only 4 people but at the end of the day, this is the same process that every great comic says led to their success. Although it seems like a waste of time in the moment, I am always glad I practiced at these open mics, whenever real shows come around.
Some people may wonder why I made a blog about my comedy career. The first reason I made this blog is so bookers can see that I’m serious about my comedy career and not just another open micer. The other reason is to share my negative and positive experiences with comedy and connect with those who share the same passion.
